Since July 2018, Fiorini Industries has been a DAE company.
What does this mean? It means that, for almost a year, a company defibrillator – kept in the production area – has been able to ensure an even higher level of safety for each employee. Eight employees have been trained in how to best use the equipment, thereby increasing the probability of saving a colleague in the event of a heart attack by 50%.
According to a study by ISPESL (“Istituto Superiore per la Prevenzione e la Sicurezza del Lavoro” – the Italian Higher Institute for Workplace Accident Prevention and Safety) and 118 Bologna, each week in Italy more than 70 people are affected by such a disorder and the ambulance response only has a survival rate of just 1-5%.
A defibrillator in the company can, though, triple the survival time whilst waiting for help to arrive, resulting in over 80% of heart attack survivors being “resuscitated” by ventricular fibrillation.
Fiorini Industries thus joins the ranks of the most responsible companies in Italy, guaranteeing an increasingly higher workplace quality and keeping abreast of employee needs.
