10.6 m in height, 4.2 tons in weight and 2 m in diameter.
These are the numbers behind the 30,000-litre-capacity tank with 8 bars of pressure that Fiorini developed for a brewing company.
Intended for a heat recovery system, the tank was manufactured in carbon steel, insulated with rock wool and covered in embossed aluminium for use outside. It features diffusing pipes on the inside to stratify the temperature of the fluid (water and vapour).
The imposing scale of the tank represented the main challenge in terms of design, manufacture and logistics, which was successfully overcome thanks to the expertise and creativity of Fiorini’s technicians.
