CASE HISTORY: Fiorini guarantees a 120,000-litre storage capacity for the cogeneration system in Novara.

A project destined for an important large-scale retail brand, which for several years has been actively looking for energy-saving solutions and green and environmentally-friendly energy production methods.

A cogeneration system has been implemented in one of the group’s distribution centres, located in Biandrate (NO), whose operation is also the result of Fiorini’s expertise in the production of custom elements and the installation procedures of the above-mentioned elements.

Fiorini was commissioned by the customer to design and produce a tailored solution to respond to the facility’s storage needs, by finding the best combination of elements to guarantee an overall capacity of 120,000 litres.

Following an in-depth analysis of the installation site, including additional factors such as seismic activity and ground anchoring methods, ABC, Fiorini’s Technology and Industrial Processes Business Unit, opted for a system with 8 x 15,000-litre tanks, each one with a diameter of 2 metres.

A solution that, not only enhanced system functions, but also meant it was possible to optimise delivery costs, by transporting all eight elements with just four vehicles.

This was a very important order for Fiorini, both in terms of the overall capacity of the tanks produced and for the way it was handled by its team, which once again fielded its highly specialised expertise, intelligence and dedication.
